Recent Events.

The Hansa North Island 303 Solo Regatta was held this month in Waitara.  Congratulations to Darrell Smith (1st) and Graham Hook (3rd), fantastic results guys.

Winter Break.

We are currently taking a winter sailing break.   It isn’t so much always high winds and rain that call for this action.   It has become very cold and despite lots of requests, many sailors are not ‘wrapped up warm’ for the conditions. We will keep an eye on the weather and are looking forward to getting back on the water.

Ability Trophy.

We have secured significant funding from the Holdsworth Family Trust, who are keen for us to expand the Ability Trophy and include other configurations, like solo sailing with mainsail only, etc. This will become a new challenge as we move forward.

ParAble- Whakatauki.

Within a few weeks, we will move the first of our ParAble- Whakatauki into new container on the east side of Seaview Marina.   A new stainless-steel Sea Crane is on its way.   It will then be time to prepare and launch the second boat, - The Jeff Dixon.   They will both then become a part of our regular Tuesday and Wednesday sailing programme.

Kia Manuia,

From Don, the Trustees, and the team at Sailability Wellington
